Panucci Resuming Audiobook Player for Maemo
This media player can play audio books and podcasts, remember
the last playback position and also manage bookmarks.
Panucci Micro Edition (for Java-enabled Mobile Phones)
Early in the morning of September 10th, I've been working on the
so-called "Micro Edition" of Panucci, enabling me to play long audio
files on my Nokia XpressMusic mobile phone with resuming functionality
(i.e. if I stop playback and then re-open the file, it starts at the
point where i stopped it). This is remembered for each file over all
sessions, using persistent storage for Java MIDlets. You can read the
announcement
on gpodder-devel.
Depending on user feedback and my free time, I might even publish the
source code and binaries for the Panucci Micro Edition in the future.
Currently, it has a very rough user interface, but it works for me on
the go, which is why I implemented it in the first place :)
Download the sourcecode for Panucci Micro Edition here:

The new package of Panucci should be available in Maemo Extras
really soon now(tm).
